Brandon received a BS in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas in Austin. Under the guidance of Dr. James W. Tunnell, Brandon helped develop an experimental model for determining the optical properties of turbid media. While there, he also helped develop a multimodal skin cancer diagnostic system which combined Raman spectroscopy, laser-induced fluorescence, and diffuse optical spectroscopy. Brandon's current academic pursuit is to obtain a doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering at Duke. Outside of Duke, Brandon enjoys intramural sports, watching college athletics, and is always up for a round of golf.
