Our group works on a broad range of research activities to develop optical systems for the characterization of anatomical, morphological and molecular landscape of cancer. Additionally, we actively pursue the development of mathematical algorithms for feature extraction and classification of the optical signals. We validate the effectiveness of our technologies through studies of cell and tissue culture models, small animal imaging and on human subjects. Applications include cervical cancer screening, breast cancer imaging during surgery and assessing response to the cancer therapies. We work collaboratively with investigators in the biological and clinical sciences.
